Poem-I Will Always Love My Mom

In life it seems
People come and they go
But too often it is in someones leaving
That real emotions show

We sometimes lose sight
Of the ones that mean the most
And fail to take the time
to acknowledge the ones that matter and make a toast

I may be a little bit late
But the words are never too strong
But this is where
I will right that wrong

This is written for the one
Who gave me life
Who has been by my side
Through good times and strife

For the one who has carried me
When I’ve felt alone
Who has always kept me safe
And given me a home

Who taught me everything
And guided the way
No matter if I was on the right track
Or decided to stray

For the rock in my life
Who has always shone light
Accepted my wrongs
And shown me the right

For the one who has always
Guided my way
And been an angel in me life
Each and every day

The one that no one
Could ever hope to replace
That no matter what happens
Can put a smile upon my face

No matter what comes
Or ever will be
I know that as long as there’s you
There will always be me

So until death do us part
Or until kingdom come
No matter what happens
I will always love you, my mom
