Fathers Day
To those that we love
And those that we’ve lost
The ones who’ve given us everything
No matter the cost
To those who have shaped us
Into the people we’ve become
Those who stand tall and remind us
Where we are from
To those who have shown us
What is wrong from what’s right
Who have taught us when to back down
And when to stand up and fight
To those who’ve watched over us
Right from day one
Those who smiled as we crawled
Before helping us run
To those who do all in their power
To keep us from harm
Who offer us safety
In the warmth of their arms
To those who watched as we took
Our very first breath
And those who remain with us
Long after their death
To those who look after us
In every possible way
We say thanks and we wish you
