“In homage to International Women’s Day I want to acknowledge how fortunate I feel to be a woman in the 21st century. I have had so many opportunities to get an education, travel, play sports and have a family. After 25 years of teaching, coaching and volunteering I am enjoying some new leisure activities. In the last ten years I have had a chance to take up scuba-diving. It is part of my desire to keep learning and trying things out of my comfort zone. My new hobby has taken me to new worlds and fanned my love of adventure.”
