Happy Birthday my Dear Grandpa. I love you.

I can still hearing your deep and booming voice from across the way

You never had to be asked

“What did you just say?”

Your presence and stature were strong

And you never hesitated to say

What you thought was right or wrong.

As strong as your voice and stature could be

You had a gentle nature

That was easy to see.

Your warm bear hug and walking in with, “Just me.”

You melted my heart

When you said, “Hello sweetie.”

From our lunch dates to going for tea

You always made me smile

And just let me be me.

I always loved to make you treats

Whether it was good or bad,

You made me feel like I couldn’t be beat.

I never heard you judge others or speak crass

And you were always willing to help

Whether it was just one or the mass.

From starting Hi-way 9, to raising a family like you did

From day one you were known by all

From seniors to your neighbourhood kid.

You have left a mark on so many that will last forever

Particularly your special girls

Irene, Madison and Heather.

I know you will be with us everyday

Smiling down widely

And guiding us all on our way.

So thank you my dear Grandpa for being here for me throughout my life

So now enjoy your time in heaven

With your loved ones and darling Wife.
