On International Women’s day I take time to reflect, learn, and celebrate. I reflect on all of the incredible achievements of the women in my life as well as the challenges they overcame. I learn from the perspectives and experiences of other women so I can be better and support them and others. I celebrate the direction we are heading -seeing women lift each other up and be whoever we choose to be. Women are strong and capable and this is something we need to remind one another of more often. I will end with sharing one of my favourite poems that I hope reminds women everywhere that “you are so much more than that”.
